Roadside Service Tech

This is a 1099 independent-contractor position. You are called out from your home and do not commute to a central workplace. Bayer Dispatch Solutions has provided roadside-assistance dispatching services since 2000. The role focuses on customer service to stranded motorists; most calls last under 10 minutes because no mechanical repairs are performed.

About the role

As a Self-Employed Independent Service Provider (SEISP), you will respond to on-demand roadside-assistance requests with open availability. Work is consistent year-round, seven days a week, sourced from insurance providers.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Fuel-efficient, reliable vehicle (25+ MPG)
• Smartphone
• Portable jump box
• Lockout kit (air bag and long-reach tool; can be purchased on Amazon)
• Full-size floor jack (2-ton minimum)
• Lug-nut socket set, 4-way cross bar, and breaker bar
• 12-volt air compressor or air tank
• 2-gallon gas can and long-neck funnel
• Reflective “Hi-Viz” vest

Schedule

6:00 AM – 10:00 PM, seven days a week in North Orange County.
