Duties/Responsibilities
Employees will drive to various locations in New Hampshire and record the required observation metrics at the designated times and locations.

- Minimum Qualifications
- Background checks will be required for all non-USNH students/current employees.
- You must reside within NH and either within 20 miles of the UNH Durham campus, or within 10 miles of your partner’s starting location.
- You must have a dependable vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- You must be available 5 days out of the week, with at least one of those days being a weekend day.
- If you are applying along with a potential partner, they must have the same availability.
- You must be willing to work a few long days, between 8hr and 12hrs, per week.
- Mandatory training will be at our office, in Huddleston Hall, during the last week of May (the week before observation begins).
Schedule
- Observation days are assigned to each team of two based on availability and schedule needs.
- Each team is assigned between 20-25 hours per week during the first 2 to 3 weeks of June.
- The opportunity for extra hours may be offered based on scheduling needs and availability.
- Teams will travel to various locations within the state of New Hampshire to complete 1-hour observation at each.
- Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled for the same day of the week later in the month.
- Most observation days start between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM and finish between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, with total workdays ranging from around 8 hours to 12+ hours.
General Study Structure (Day To Day)
- You and your partner will determine the best place to meet up to begin the day, and one of you will drive from there.
- You must plan your departure time appropriately so that you are at your first observation site of the day and ready to start recording at the specified time of observation.
- Most locations are grouped geographically, you have an hour to get to your next site, they are usually only 5-15 minutes away.
Compensation
- Pay Range $20/per hour, plus mileage reimbursement!
- Hourly pay is $20/hour and is paid on the usual UNH bi-weekly schedule.
- The calculated rate of mileage needed to complete an observation day (including departure/arrival locations) will be reimbursed after completion of the study.
- The university's current mileage compensation rate is $0.725 per mile.
- Toll expenses will also be reimbursed at the end of the study.
