Roadside Assistance Driver (Flatbed) - THIRD SHIFT (49449)

About the role

Multiple Third Shift / Overnight full-time Tow Truck Operator (Flatbed) positions available out of our North Andover, MA location. As a AAA Roadside Technician, you will be responsible for providing safe, best-in-class roadside solutions for AAA members. Flatbed & Tow drivers respond to member requests for roadside assistance, ensuring member safety, vehicle security, and educating members on possible vehicle issues. You will be considered a hero to several people each and every day!

Responsibilities

• Respond to AAA member’s requests for roadside assistance.
• Communicate with dispatchers to determine logistics, service to be performed, and ETA.
• Greet stranded AAA members on scene, ensure their safety, provide reassurance and/or advice, and assess the overall situation with the member and vehicle.
• Assess the safety of the scene where service is to be performed, ensuring a safe environment for you, the member, and the service.
• Provide minor mechanical assistance using provided tools/gear (e.g., battery boosts, tire changes, lock-outs).
• If towing is required, safely tow the member’s vehicle in accordance with AAA policies and procedures using AAA’s state-of-the-art tow vehicles (flatbed or wrecker).
• Occasionally support other fleet locations, with flexibility to work nights, extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Active and valid driver’s license issued by only one state or jurisdiction.
• Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment in accordance with policy.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical certificate.

Pay

Compensation: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour, including base pay and shift differentials.

• Additional $2.75 per hour overnight differential for hours worked between 10pm and 6am.
• Additional $1 per hour weekend differential for any weekend hours worked.
• Additional $1.75 per hour evening differential for hours worked between 6pm and 10pm.
• Differentials can be combined.
