Roads & Grounds General Maintenance Worker- Fort Knox, KY.

About the role

PCSI is seeking a General Maintenance Worker in our Roads & Grounds Department located in Ft. Knox, Kentucky. The position reports to the Roads & Grounds supervisor and works Monday through Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor adjustments and repairs to plumbing, architectural, and structural building and light carpentry.
• Carry out concrete work, tree trimming, mowing, bush trimming, and herbicide spraying.
• Execute preventative maintenance functions and minor repairs.
• Paint crosswalks and parking lots.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed.
• Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
• Perform heavy lifting and operate a chainsaw.
• Paint structures and equipment.
• Form and finish concrete.
• Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Remove snow and ice from assigned equipment.
• Patch and spread asphalt.
• Perform aerial lift work, including bucket truck operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Class B CDL preferred.
• At least six (6) months of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of all maintenance trades in a maintenance environment (preferred).
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Effective reading, writing, and speaking of the English language.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Class B CDL preferred.
• At least six (6) months of experience with the ability to perform the assigned duties.
• Knowledge of all maintenance trades in a maintenance environment (preferred).
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Attention to details and safety awareness.
• Effective reading, writing, and speaking of the English language.
