About the role
This Road Mechanic/Technician role performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses, and makes advanced repairs at the customer's location to avoid equipment downtime. The fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may have large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment at customer locations.
- Diagnose and make advanced repairs in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime.
- Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
- 1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations).
- May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
- Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.
Physical Demands
- Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
- Working indoors/outdoors as required by the job.

Pay
Base Pay Range: $21.38 - $29.39. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
