About the role
This Road Mechanic/Technician role performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may have a fleet of large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment.
You will work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations, develop new skills for a career track in service or operations management, and collaborate with a safety-focused team.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on rental equipment
- Conduct diagnostics and make repairs to minimize downtime
- Work on a diverse fleet, including aerial work platforms, general construction tools, power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment
- Operate in remote locations with flexibility for changing priorities
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired
- 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (e.g., large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil/gas equipment) strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (CDL may be required in some locations; must be at least 21 years of age)
- May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade
- Physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job
Skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
- Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) may be required based on location

Pay
Base pay range: $24.05 - $33.06 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors including location, education, training, and experience.
