Road Maintenance Worker I & Eligibility Register
About the role
The Road Maintenance division in the Snohomish County Public Works department will be filling multiple positions and creating an eligibility register to fill future positions as needed for six (6) months. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine manual labor tasks including frequent bending, twisting, and stooping, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, constant walking and standing.
- Frequent physical exertion and vibration when operating tools such as: jackhammer, plate compactor, chainsaw, or exertion lifting objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
Requirements
- A valid Washington State driver's license.
- A High School Diploma or GED or any equivalent combination of training and or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.

Schedule
- This is a regular full-time position, scheduled to work 40 hours per week.
- Your normal work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., however, this schedule will typically change to Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from around mid-February through approximately mid-November each year.
- You may be required to work occasional evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays and are subject to mandatory overtime and callouts at any time including working evening shifts for emergency conditions (i.e., windstorms, snow & ice, floods, earthquakes, etc.).
- You must be able to change work locations within the County with little to no prior notice.
