About the role
Trueline's client, a well-established civil infrastructure contractor with a strong presence in regional road and transportation projects, is seeking a Road Construction Project Manager to join their team in the Shreveport, LA area.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and closeout of road construction projects
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Ensure compliance with DOT standards and applicable environmental regulations
- Oversee job site safety practices and enforce company policies
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, engineers, and stakeholders
- Coverage subcontractors, vendors, and equipment logistics
- Monitor material usage, procurement, and cost control measures
- Resolve field issues and maintain project momentum
- Facilitate project meetings and provide consistent progress updates
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing road or heavy civil construction projects
- Strong knowledge of DOT specifications and roadway construction practices
- Experience with asphalt and/or concrete paving operations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Nice-to-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Experience managing projects in Louisiana or similar regulatory environments
- Familiarity with environmental compliance standards
- Background working with public infrastructure or municipal projects
