Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including lowboys, flatbeds, tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and other heavy-haul equipment.
- Transport oversized loads, heavy equipment, and roadway construction materials while ensuring safe and timely delivery.
- Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials in compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
- Cook with equipment maintenance and job site support as needed.
- Travel and work overtime, nights, weekends, and out-of-town projects when required.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of heavy hauling or construction trucking experience preferred.
- Experience hauling oversized and heavy construction equipment.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, load securement, and permit requirements.
- Ability to safely operate in construction zones, uneven terrain, and varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance knowledge preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, and secure loads.
- Ability to enter and exit trucks and trailers repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and physically demanding conditions.
- Assist the crew with general labor duties as needed.
