The Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) department is seeking an Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Programs Specialist or Senior Renewable Gas Programs Specialist to support and contribute to the development, coordination, and improvement of renewable energy and distributed energy resource programs.
Responsibilities
The Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Programs Specialist / Sr RNG Programs Specialist performs analytical, technical, and program support functions that help advance renewable energy initiatives and ensure long term organizational growth and compliance. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth research and analysis related to renewable energy technologies, evaluating data from multiple sources, identifying trends or issues, and developing preliminary recommendations for senior specialists or management review.
The role also involves coordinating components of energy management projects, contributing to the implementation of new business models and program enhancements, and providing support in resolving routine to moderately complex system performance questions. Additionally, the Specialist may contribute to developing portions of operating plans, tracking budget related items, and supporting engagement on legislative and strategic matters within the renewable energy space.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in renewable natural gas, energy program support, utility operations, or commercial/operational analytics for the Renewable Natural Gas Programs Specialist role
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in renewable natural gas, energy program management, utility operations, or commercial/operational analytics for the Senior Renewable Natural Gas Programs Specialist role
- Demonstrated ability to support cross functional projects and contribute research, analysis, and operational insights to senior staff
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to gather data from multiple sources, identify trends, and develop preliminary findings
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and collaborate with stakeholders across teams
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance is preferred, although other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

Pay
The starting hourly rate for the Senior RNG Programs Specialist is $90,900 - $118,100, and for the RNG Programs Specialist is $73,200 - $95,000.
Schedule
The role involves working in an office environment 76-100% of the time, with up to 25% travel required.
