Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations.
• Function as an RN first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum in accordance with scope of practice credentials, privileges, experience, education, and competency verification.
• Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR in the role of an RN circulator.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components Required

Work Experience

• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience Required
• 3 years minimum experience as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR, if working in the CVOR Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License Required
• CNOR - Certified Operating Room RN (if applicable) Required
• CRNFA - Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
