RN - Wound Ostomy
About the Role
The Professional Registered Nurse with advanced training and education as an Enterostomal Therapist (ET) provides inpatient and outpatient consultative, acute, rehabilitative, and maintenance services to patients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. The role includes education, counseling, research, and administration. Certification in Wound and Ostomy care is required (or must be obtained within nine months of hire), with optional Continence care certification.
Responsibilities
- Deliver consultative, acute, rehabilitative, and maintenance care for patients with gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary disorders.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and caregivers.
- Engage in research and administrative duties related to enterostomal therapy.
- Offer services in person or via phone for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent education/experience.
- Washington Registered Nurse License (upon hire).
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association (upon hire).
- 2 years of Medical/Surgical clinical experience in an acute care setting, with a special interest in Enterostomal Therapy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved Enterostomal Therapy Education Program.
- Current Board Certification in Wound and Ostomy Nursing (Continence Nursing optional). If not certified at hire, must complete certification within 9 months.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $47.69 - $94.06 per hour. These amounts reflect the base pay range; additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Schedule
Full-time, Day shift.
Work location: Providence St. Peter Hospital, Olympia, WA (on-site).
