About the Role

Responsible for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating wound and ostomy care for a select group of patients. Specializes in managing wounds caused by disease, injury, or medical treatments, ensuring safe and effective healing of various wound types such as surgical sites, ulcers, and abscesses. Creates and implements treatment plans, monitors for infections, and performs wound cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Assess symptoms and manage complex wounds
• Educate healthcare team on proper wound care techniques
• Monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of nursing
• Current RN license in the relevant state or compact licensure
• WCC/WOCN certification
