About the role
The G71 Women’s Health Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus features 18 private beds and supports patients undergoing various surgeries, including total laparoscopic hysterectomies, vaginal hysterectomies, TRAM flap reconstruction and many others. This team also sees many high-risk moms, breast cancer patients and transgender patients, creating a unique and diverse population.
Responsibilities
- Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors.
- Offer healthcare information as needed.
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of patients' conditions.
- Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
- Provide education to patients and families with educational materials, considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocols.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross.
- If in a Critical Care area, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of employment.
- One year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting or Military RN License.

Pay and Schedule
- Minimum hourly: $35.50
- Maximum hourly: $55.60
- Rotating day/night shifts from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
