About the role

The RN, Women’s Health at St. Charles Health System provides quality patient and family centered care as a member of the health care team in accordance with SCHS mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures. The RN applies standards for professional nursing practice and focuses clinical care to enhance the experience for patients, families, and all others. This position may provide direct nursing care to OB/GYN patients, as a member of a care team, at one or more SCHS Center for Women’s Health clinics. This position does not directly supervise or manage other caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Functions as staff nurse during regularly scheduled shifts.
• Assists with quality control for point-of-care tests performed on-site.
• Performs point-of-care lab tests in accordance with lab protocol.
• Assists with ordering and maintaining daily inventory of supplies and pharmaceuticals.
• Maintains and demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of nursing principles, practices, standards, and techniques, and applies this knowledge in accordance with SCHS policies and work instructions and within the laws and regulations governing nursing practice in the State of
