RN - Women's Health Phone Triage - Nights

Performs as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Mercy Virtual triage program in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Mercy rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Performs duties assigned by the Medical Director in the vAcute program concerning patients and their care, including education and care coordination. vAcute provides care on a 24-hour basis. Specialty may be OBGYN or Pediatrics.

This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring 40 hours per week on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). After training, this role has the ability to work from home and handles after-hours emergency calls for the Mercy East Region.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of, and as directed by, physicians.
• Assists physicians in the treatment of patients and completes related clinical paperwork.
• Integrates Mercy’s philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respecting human life and dignity, and applying Christian values to all responsibilities.
• Maintains a caring, friendly, personal, and professional approach in communication with patients, families, visitors, and employees.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
