About the role
Join Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, a Magnet‑recognized institution, as a Registered Nurse in the Women and Children’s Float Pool. You will provide care across Mother/Baby, Pediatrics, and the NICU (including the NICU step‑down unit), delivering exceptional, compassionate care throughout the patient journey while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to newborns, children, and postpartum mothers.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
Minimum qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- If working in a Critical Care area, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA) must be presented upon hire or within the first year.
- One year of current acute‑care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- One year of NICU, Mother/Baby, or Pediatrics experience.
Physical requirements
- Full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Potential exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Medium work – exerting 20–50 lb occasionally, 10–25 lb frequently, or up to 10 lb constantly to move objects.
- Use of personal protective equipment in accordance with standard precautions.

Pay
Minimum hourly: $35.50 – Maximum hourly: $55.60. The range reflects anticipated compensation for new hires and does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (healthcare, dental, vision, retirement contributions, etc.).
Schedule
Night and on‑call shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
