RN - Weekends Home Hospice

About the Role

This position will be based out of a facility in Northwest Arkansas or NE Oklahoma. The RN will make home hospice nursing visits as needed and in rotation with other teammates. Hospice nursing provides a meaningful connection with patients and families, offering significant one-on-one time to coach and educate those in our care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care visits
• Assess medical needs and liaise with physicians
• Attend deaths and handle triage calls
• Assist with the admission process
• Deliver hospice care according to accepted standards of practice, guided by the organization’s mission and patient/family needs
• Integrate all hospice services into a cohesive support program

Requirements

• Current unrestricted AR, OK, or compact RN license
• BLS certification
• Strong assessment skills with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to stay calm and cope with human suffering and emergencies
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Prefer hospice, home health, or acute care nursing experience
• Computer charting experience
• Use of personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance
