RN Weekender Flex – Med/Surg

Responsibilities
- Manage pre-surgical patients and patients needing antibiotic treatment and wound care
- Perform advanced dressing changes
- Absorb and communicate patients' conditions
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs
- Provide direct nursing care
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans
- Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions
- Assist with bedside thoracentesis/paracentesis
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- If in a Critical Care area, an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of hire
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Skills
- Caring for diverse populations of patients with varying medical/surgical needs
- Part of a multidisciplinary team
Benefits
This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. While you are only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44 hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits.
Pay
- Pay Range Minimum hourly: $35.50
- Pay Range Maximum hourly: $55.60
Schedule
This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not interfere with a typical day shift schedule. A caregiver in this position works weekends + one day/night from 7:00 p.m. -- 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with holiday requirements.
