RN Weekend Supervisor - PRN

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director of Nursing in organizing and directing the nursing staff.
• Documents and bills supplies used, and sends patients to the hospital as necessary.
• Makes compliance rounds and reports any pertinent issues.
• Develops work assignments for unlicensed staff.
• Maintains effective communication with physicians and arranges transportation for doctor appointments.
• Coordinates care planning and MDS processes, and participates in patient screening and selection.
• Assists in monitoring physician services and follows up on consultant recommendations.
• Provides demonstrations and education to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Completes documentation procedures and communicates with families and physicians.
• Monitors staff for compliance with established guidelines and protocols.
• Reviews and responds to complaints and grievances related to the department.
• Coordinates care and implements various programs like the Education Program, Infection Control Program, and Quality Assurance Program.
• Promotes the organization's image through servant leadership and effective communication.
• Participates in committees, workgroups, and project management.

Qualifications

• A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or a graduate of an approved RN program.
• Active RN License to practice in the State of Georgia.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with associates, patients, family members, and visitors.
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to tasks.
• Computer skills proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
