RN Weekend Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced individual to become part of Autumn Leaves' clinical team as a Weekend Supervisor (RN). The Weekend Supervisor oversees the day‑to‑day nursing activities of the community during their assigned shifts and completes wound treatments.

Schedule

Part‑time weekend position: Saturday – Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement community programs, policies, and procedures.
• Obtain report from nurse being relieved and provide report to nurse coming on duty; record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow‑up action, as necessary.
• Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to supervisor and initiating corrective action.
• Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action immediately.
• Identify resident problems and emergency situations and initiate emergency care per physician’s orders in the absence of a physician.
• Provide supervision to direct care associates providing direct resident care.
• Observe community process related to signing out narcotic and administration thereof, including shift narcotic count and documentation.
• Notify physician, when necessary, of changes in conditions, weight, medication errors, medication not available, abnormal lab/X‑Ray results, and any other unusual observations.
• Document daily notes on unstable residents/change in resident condition, Medicare residents and recently admitted residents.
• Be responsible for the safety of residents and associates under his/her supervision.
• Observe infection control procedures.
• Perform all the duties of a certified nursing assistant when required.
• Perform all wound treatments assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
• Previous Weekend Supervisor experience in a skilled‑nursing facility (highly preferred).
• Electronic Medical Record experience required; PCC preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age‑related needs of the residents served.
• Supportive team member who contributes to and exemplifies teamwork and team concepts.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as an RN.
• Compact license or Texas Nursing license in good standing.
• Proof of current CPR certification.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
