About the role

We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members; assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibiting sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity; and maintaining involvement in activities aimed at achieving unit and departmental strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Achieves learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient, family, and group needs.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
• Evaluates and promotes change using data, information, and knowledge to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respecting privacy, adapting explanations, requesting permissions, and communicating effectively.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

This job requires proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities. Good judgment is also required.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse diploma.
• Possession of a current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
