RN Unit Manager - Subacute Rehab

About the role

This leadership position focuses on supervising a nursing unit within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. You will provide 24-hour oversight, coach and develop nursing staff (especially CNAs), and ensure high-quality resident care through care plan development and monitoring of clinical indicators.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour oversight of the nursing unit
• Coach and develop nursing staff, with a focus on CNAs
• Ensure high-quality resident care through care plan development and monitoring of clinical indicators
• Communicate with families and physicians
• Manage staffing and daily operations
• Maintain regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Active RN license in New York State
• At least 2+ years of experience in long-term care
• Prior leadership experience
• Strong staff management skills
• Confidence in clinical oversight, team mentoring, and handling family interactions

Qualifications

Experience working with dementia populations is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leading, mentoring, and positively impacting care quality and team performance.
