Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the on-site nursing team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Manage unit operations to meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report results to leadership.
- Enforce infection control practices and safety protocols across the unit.
- Develop and monitor care plans, adjusting based on patient progress and metrics.
- Oversee staffing schedules, allocations, and performance to meet targets.
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives across the unit.
- Ensure effective communication with physicians, patients, families, and staff.
- Mentor and develop nursing staff through coaching and structured feedback.
- Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and supply usage to optimize costs.
- Support onboarding and training programs for new hires and current staff.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning for the unit.
Requirements
- Nursing license in state and RN unit management experience.
- Proven ability to lead on-site nursing teams and coordinate care.
- Strong knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
- Staffing management: scheduling, allocation, performance, and coaching.
- Experience in unit budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Ability to monitor KPIs, generate reports, and drive improvements.
- Clinical care planning with outcome-driven adjustments based on metrics.
- Strong communication with physicians, patients, families, and team.
- Change agent for continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Mentoring and development of nursing staff through structured feedback.
