RN UNIT MANAGER

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the on-site nursing team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Manage unit operations to meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report results to leadership.
• Enforce infection control practices and safety protocols across the unit.
• Develop and monitor care plans, adjusting based on patient progress and metrics.
• Oversee staffing schedules, allocations, and performance to meet targets.
• Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives across the unit.
• Ensure effective communication with physicians, patients, families, and staff.
• Mentor and develop nursing staff through coaching and structured feedback.
• Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and supply usage to optimize costs.
• Support onboarding and training programs for new hires and current staff.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning for the unit.

Requirements

• Nursing license in state and RN unit management experience.
• Proven ability to lead on-site nursing teams and coordinate care.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Staffing management: scheduling, allocation, performance, and coaching.
• Experience in unit budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
• Ability to monitor KPIs, generate reports, and drive improvements.
• Clinical care planning with outcome-driven adjustments based on metrics.
• Strong communication with physicians, patients, families, and team.
• Change agent for continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentoring and development of nursing staff through structured feedback.
