RN Unit Manager
About the role
Crowne Health Care is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead and support a dedicated nursing team in their long-term care and rehabilitation team specializing in geriatric care.
Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and nursing staff on your assigned unit.
- Promote a positive team culture focused on quality resident care and excellent customer service.
- Monitor resident conditions, complete nursing assessments, and promptly communicate changes to physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Manage and oversee individualized resident care plans from development through ongoing evaluation.
- Accurately and timely document electronic records.
- Cooker pharmacy services, laboratory testing, physician orders, and follow-up care.
- Oversee wound care management and other skilled nursing interventions.
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care plans.
- Assist with quality assurance initiatives, regulatory compliance, and infection prevention efforts.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and education to nursing staff while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
Current Alabama RN License or Temporary RN License, Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred, Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities, Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
