RN Traveler -Fargo Med Surge Resource Team

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. Collaborates with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge, using appropriate age and population-specific standards. Cares for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients move along the continuum of care. Responsible for planning and coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions. Functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge.
• Provide care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Plan and coordinate care, perform patient assessments, provide patient education, and conduct triage.
• Adhere to the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules.

Requirements

• At least one year of RN experience.
• At least six months of travel nursing experience.
• Live at least 60 miles from the location applied for.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (e.g., AACN, ACEN, NLN CNEA).
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practicing and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Schedule

• 12-hour rotating shifts.
• 36 hours per week.
• 14-week contracts with the option to extend or transfer to another Sanford site.

Pay

Starting rate: $2,758 per week (includes stipend).
