RN Trauma PI Coordinator
Job Summary
AThe Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator works in collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD), Trauma Program Manager (TPM) or Trauma Program Director (TPD), sub-specialists, nursing and medical teams, and ancillary services to coordinate all aspects of the Trauma Department’s Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum three years of recent hospital nursing experience in Critical Care or Emergency nursing required
- Must have recent experience and proficiency with computer databases, word processing, and spreadsheet programs
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas and current BLS
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and/or Instructor, or Advanced Trauma Life Support Course, Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
