About the Role

As a Trauma Performance Improvement RN, you will lead efforts to reduce traumatic injuries and support vulnerable patients, enhancing community safety and trauma care strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Injury Prevention Program.
  • Serve as a liaison to community groups and agencies.
  • Develop educational content and conduct outreach.
  • Analyze injury data to inform prevention efforts.
  • Plan, analyze, and coordinate trauma performance improvement and patient safety initiatives with leadership and medical staff.
  • Promote and implement trauma performance goals, designing clinical improvement projects, policies, and training.
  • Ensure changes are adopted and sustained.
  • Act as the primary communicator for projects, updating stakeholders on milestones, risks, and outcomes.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues, advising on corrective actions.
  • Document activities per ACS verification standards.
  • Assess opportunities for practice improvement based on trauma standards and clinical data.
  • Manage community-based trauma programs in compliance with ACS verification standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a healthcare-related field.
  • Five years of relevant experience.
  • Registered Nurse license in Washington state.
