RN Training - Emergency Department

What You'll Do

• Assess, plan, provide, and evaluate patient care.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to other healthcare team members.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, caregivers, patients, and families.
• Maintain professional competency through ongoing education and development.
• Follow hospital policies and participate in quality, safety, and infection prevention initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
• At least one year of recent Emergency Department experience, or currently working independently in an ED setting.
• Ability to independently care for: cardiac patients, complex medical-surgical patients, pediatric patients, trauma patients.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Commitment to patient- and family-centered care.
• Ability to follow and support hospital policies and procedures.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements

• Safely handle patients using proper equipment and procedures.
• Push/pull medical equipment up to 45 lbs.
• Perform CPR when needed.
• Frequently bend, reach, kneel, squat, and move throughout the department.
• Lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally.

Position Details: Schedule - Full-time (0.90 FTE), Nights; Pay Range - $45.78–$82.98 per hour; Pay is based on factors such as education, training, experience, seniority, and applicable union agreements.
