About the role
We are seeking a registered nurse to join a high-acuity digestive surgical unit specializing in the care of complex surgical patients, including trauma, bariatric, and various gastrointestinal procedures. The unit is a 43-bed high-acuity digestive surgical unit with a team-oriented culture, full-time and part-time educators, nurse supervisors, and a manager, emphasizing safety, professional growth, and providing exceptional patient care in a high-demand setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer treatments such as wound vacs, TPN, epidurals
- Manage complex wounds and ostomies
- Collaborate with surgical teams
- Ensure patient safety
- Document care accurately
- Educate patients and families
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- More than one year of nursing experience
- Nursing diploma
