Role Overview
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating care effectiveness. Coordinates patient care with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and upholds organizational standards and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Caring for patients in Medical-Surgical units, supporting those preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical procedures
- Serves as a foundation for future growth into ICU and ED roles
- Ensures quality care and collaborates with healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Nursing degree from an accredited school
- Current RN license in the state or compact licensure meeting licensing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
