Responsibilities
- Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs
- Identification of outcomes based on needs assessment
- Establishing the plan of care
- Supervision of the progress and modification of the plan of care as needed
- Maintaining education and competencies to remain proficient in patient care
- Incorporating evidence-based nursing practice
- Identifying outcomes that are age and culturally appropriate
- Collaborating with the family and patient to establish realistic and measurable patient outcomes
- Coordinating, collaborating, and delegating appropriately to ensure safe and effective care
- Fulfilling all organizational requirements
- Demonstrating ability to coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operations
- Demonstrating ability to identify the orientee's learning needs, plan appropriate learning experiences, and validate clinical competence of the orientee
Qualifications
- Associate's or Vocational degree
- 1-2 years RN experience (preferred: Bachelor's degree, 0-2 years cardiac, telemetry, or critical care RN experience)
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required if working in state of MN upon hire / WI Department of Safety & Professional Services required if working in the state of WI upon hire
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS Tier 2 required for identified units per hiring manager
- RN-BC Cardiac Vascular Nursing preferred
- CCRN Critical Care RN preferred
- CHRN Certified Heart Failure Nurse preferred

Pay
The pay range for this position is $44.64 to $74.33 per hour. Starting rate depends on experience, education, and union agreements (if applicable).
Schedule
Shifts include 12-hour day/night rotations, every third weekend rotation, and a mix of full-time and part-time opportunities.
