RN Surgery - General OR
About the role
Cleveland Clinic’s General OR team is a dynamic surgical environment that includes GI, Colon, Oncology, Bariatric and Endocrine procedures. Surgeries range from 2 to 12 hours, including complex cases such as colon and intestinal procedures, transplants, Whipple surgeries and oncology interventions.
Responsibilities
- Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care from pre-op to recovery
- Interact with patients and families to enhance their experience
- Provide education as needed
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within six months of hire
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Pay
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $35.50
Maximum hourly: $55.60
Schedule
Shifts are assigned after orientation, which is 6 months long and occurs Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
