Responsibilities

• Provides transformational leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Contributes to building the team by helping others succeed through role modeling and mentoring.
• Assigns or delegates tasks based on the needs of the patient and skill level of the RN, LPN, or support staff.
• Ensures a safe environment, monitors patient conditions, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Shares knowledge and skills with peers and colleagues, promoting a positive work environment.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate clinical care or health services.
• Promotes patient safety initiatives and participates in department-specific quality initiatives.
• Supervises delegated tasks and evaluates assigned LPN scope of practice as appropriate.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, evaluate, and implement a patient plan of care.
• Assesses patient reports/records and intervenes appropriately, documenting accordingly.
• Accepts assignments in areas other than primary unit and performs duties within individualized competency.
• Demonstrates a commitment to continuous lifelong learning and professional development.
• Participates in systematic peer review and obtains feedback regarding practice.
• Manages time effectively to complete assigned duties and responsibilities within established work shifts.
• Plays a central role in patient and family satisfaction, advocating for patients and customers.
• Affords patients and families compassionate communication and resolves concerns.

Qualifications

• Current State of Pennsylvania RN license OR Current multi-state license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR certification.
• Completed Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Completed Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Completed Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Preferred certification in area of specialty.
