Rate: $38-$44/hour (depending on experience)
Sign-on bonus: Up to $3,750
SHIFT: Part-Time
Schedule: Weekends, work 32 hours and get paid for 37.5

Shift Details

Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking to add an RN Supervisor Weekend Warrior to its nursing leadership team. Located in Boonville, NY, Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is proud to be part of The McGuire Group, a recognized leader in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care services throughout New York State.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff, including team leaders, nursing assistants, and trainees during assigned shifts
• Ensure resident care plans are implemented, updated, and followed appropriately
• Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with providers and families
• Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services
• Address resident, family, visitor, and staff concerns while promoting a positive care experience
• Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization as needed
• Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, resident rights, and regulatory requirements
• Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents, and facility operational issues
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting; 3+ years preferred
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control practices, and resident rights
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
