RN - Supervisor, Utilization Mgmt

Location: Calmont Operations Building, Fort Worth, TX – hybrid (1–2 days/month in office)
First shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | 40 hours/week

About the role

Supervise, coach, and mentor STAR, CHIP, or STAR Kids workgroups (Pods) composed of Utilization Management (UM) and Enhanced Care Management (ECM) RNs and support staff to meet department goals. Serve as process owner and subject-matter expert for program benefits and Long-Term Supports and Services (LTSS). Provide motivation, encouragement, and resources; assist team members in setting and achieving individual goals. Train and certify staff on all UM processes and essential skills, assess existing abilities, and deliver customized skills training. Offer positive and constructive feedback to guide the team toward objectives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and mentor UM/ECM RN and support staff within assigned workgroups (Pods).
• Act as process owner and subject-matter expert for program benefits and LTSS.
• Motivate and encourage team members; assist in setting and accomplishing individual goals.
• Train and certify team members on all applicable UM processes and essential skills.
• Assess individual team members’ abilities and provide customized skills training.
• Deliver positive and constructive feedback to direct the team toward department goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Texas RN license.
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years Utilization Management experience.
• Proficiency in computer applications; minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.
