About the role

The RN Supervisor at Garden Spot Village provides leadership and oversight for nursing services, ensuring high-quality resident care, staff development, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with established policies, procedures, and standards, including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct
  • Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident information, including condition and family matters
  • Counsel certified nursing assistants and recommend personnel actions to the Director of Nursing Service as necessary
  • Observe and enforce infection control procedures related to nursing services
  • Ensure the safety of residents under your care or supervision
  • Adhere to all facility safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate dependability and punctuality by coming to work as scheduled
  • Work cooperatively with administration, nursing personnel, physicians, community agencies, residents, families, and consultants
  • Maintain a clean, neat uniform and professional appearance
  • Accept assigned duties cooperatively and assume accountability for responsibilities outlined in the employee handbook
  • Direct, evaluate, and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective actions as needed
  • Conduct daily resident rounds and report nursing care status to the Director of Nursing Service and Administrator
  • Supervise the implementation of nursing rehabilitation and restorative programs
  • Assist with analysis of incident and accident investigation reports, determining causes and implementing corrective actions as appropriate
  • Complete residents’ MDS assessments and care plans in a timely manner, with follow-up as needed
  • Review newly admitted residents and compare physician orders with care plans to ensure accurate implementation
  • Participate in the Quality Assessment and Assurance Program for the nursing department in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Committee
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
  • Experience supervising nursing staff preferred
  • Knowledge of restorative nursing, long-term care, and infection control procedures
  • Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Commitment to customer service, teamwork, and professional development
  • Must rotate shifts and work weekends and holidays as scheduled
  • May be required to work during emergency conditions (short staffing, severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)
  • May be asked to work overtime to ensure adequate staffing
