RN Supervisor, Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center (FT, Evenings)

GENERAL SUMMARY

The RN Shift Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Skilled Nursing facility for his/her particular shift. They also oversee administrative and professional working policies, supervise and delegate responsibilities, and ensure clinical duties and unit activities meet quality patient care standards.

EDUCATION

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Nursing Program preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (3) years work experience as a Registered Nurse in a long-term care setting required.
• One (1) year in a supervisory capacity required.

SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Cleared by PA State Police criminal history check.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners required.
• Demonstrated administrative ability, supervisory capabilities, and reliability.
• Good management skills required.
• CPR Certification required or must be obtained and maintained.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Bending, reaching, and stooping (occasionally in strained position) throughout shift.
• Ability to transport self throughout facility is required.

ACCIDENT OR HEALTH HAZARDS

• Occasional exposure to blood and body substances.
• Exposure to needle sticks possible.
