RN Supervisor, Scranton Rehab Hospital (PT, Nights, 40 hours per pay)

About the role

The RN Shift Supervisor is responsible for all administrative and professional working policies pertaining to their section. They organize or participate in educational programs and delegate responsibilities to ensure clinical duties and unit activities are completed for quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assume supervision of the Nursing Department in the absence of the AVP Nursing/the Director of Nursing Services and the Assistant Director of Nursing Services.
• Ensure all clinical duties and unit activities are completed to provide quality patient care.
• Organize or participate in educational programs.
• Delegating responsibilities to Nursing Department staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years work experience as a Registered Nurse in a rehabilitation setting.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Demonstrated administrative ability, supervisory capabilities, and reliability.
• Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
• CPR certification must be obtained and maintained.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• CRRN preferred.
• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing or equivalent work experience preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
• Ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.
• Interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to the populations served by the hospital.
• Provide the care needed as described in the Nursing Department's policies and procedures.
