RN Supervisor, Scranton Rehab Hospital (PT, Evenings, 40 hours per pay)

About the role

The RN Shift Supervisor is responsible for all administrative and professional working policies pertaining to their section. They organize or participate in educational programs and delegate responsibilities to ensure clinical duties and unit activities are completed for quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Organize or participate in educational programs
• Delegate responsibilities to ensure clinical duties and unit activities are completed
• Assume supervision of the Nursing Department in the absence of the AVP Nursing/the Director of Nursing Services and the Assistant Director of Nursing Services
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit (adolescent through geriatric)
• Achieve full supervision of Nursing Department staff

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• CRRN preferred
• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing or equivalent work experience preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years work experience as a Registered Nurse in a rehabilitation setting
• Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners
• Demonstrated administrative ability, supervisory capabilities, and reliability
• Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
• CPR certification must be obtained and maintained

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
• Ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status
• To provide the care needed as described in the Nursing Department's policies and procedures
