Avalon Rehab and Care Center is seeking a dedicated RN Supervisor to lead our nursing team on the 11 PM–7 AM overnight shift. This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse who thrives in a leadership position and takes pride in providing exceptional resident care.
About the role
Lead the nursing team during the overnight shift, serving as a clinical resource, supporting staff, and ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, high-quality care throughout the night.
Schedule
- Consistent Monday-Friday, 11 PM–7 AM overnight shift
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff during the overnight shift
- Provide clinical guidance to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Monitor resident care and ensure nursing services are delivered according to established standards
- Respond to changes in resident condition and coordinate appropriate interventions
- Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and resident assessments as needed
- Ensure medications, treatments, documentation, and clinical procedures are completed accurately
- Promote compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and quality-of-care standards
- Serve as a visible and supportive nursing leader for the overnight team
- Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
Requirements
- Current New Jersey RN license in good standing
- Prior nursing experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or a similar setting preferred
- Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Compassionate approach to resident care
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
