About the role
The RN Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position is responsible for managing daily nursing operations, coordinating patient care activities, and fostering a collaborative environment among multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
- Monitor patient care standards and implement improvements to enhance quality and safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to develop and execute care plans.
- Conduct staff training and performance evaluations and provide ongoing mentorship to nursing personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and accreditation standards.
- Manage staffing schedules, resolve conflicts, and address any personnel issues promptly.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to policy development and implementation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to nursing activities and patient care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required.
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of nursing experience, with long-term care or supervisory experience preferred.
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- Knowledge of Maryland nursing regulations and CMS long-term care requirements.

- Strong communication skills are essential for effectively coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and resolving staff issues.
- Organizational skills enable the supervisor to manage complex schedules, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee documentation accurately.
- Problem-solving abilities are applied to address patient care challenges and implement quality improvement measures.
- Proficiency with healthcare technology and EHR systems supports efficient workflow management and data-driven decision-making.

Pay
$49 - $55/hour PLUS Weekend Differential of $7 per hour (Pay based on experience)
Schedule
Three (3) Evenings per week: 3 pm to 11:30 pm, PLUS Every Other Weekend 7 pm - 7 am
