Full-Time RN Supervisor

About the role

This position involves providing clinical leadership in an emergency room setting, supervising nursing and technician staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care across diverse age groups. The nurse assigns duties, monitors staffing, and acts as a liaison among staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate patient care activities during the shift, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and care standards.
• Assign nursing personnel based on patient needs and staff qualifications, using independent judgment.
• Support strategic initiatives such as quality improvement, compliance, and staff recruitment.
• Participate in shared governance, promote teamwork, and serve as a clinical resource and role model.
• Ensure accurate documentation, administer medications, assist with tests and procedures, and maintain a safe environment.
• Respond to emergencies, facilitate communication, and support patient safety protocols.
• Contribute to staff development through orientation, training, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• RN licensure in the state or reciprocal agreement.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills, with the ability to delegate and supervise effectively.
