Role Overview: This position involves providing clinical leadership in an emergency room setting, supervising nursing and technician staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care across diverse age groups. The nurse assigns duties, monitors staffing, and acts as a liaison among staff, physicians, patients, and families. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate patient care activities during the shift, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and care standards.Assign nursing personnel based on patient needs and staff qualifications, using independent judgment.Support strategic initiatives such as quality improvement, compliance, and staff recruitment.Participate in shared governance, promote teamwork, and serve as a clinical resource and role model.Ensure accurate documentation, administer medications, assist with tests and procedures, and maintain a safe environment.Respond to emergencies, facilitate communication, and support patient safety protocols.Contribute to staff development through orientation, training, and performance evaluations. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.RN licensure in the state or reciprocal agreement.CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.Strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills, with the ability to delegate and supervise effectively.
