RN Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities.
• Aid in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the resident total regimen of care.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Admit, discharge, and transfer residents as required.
• Ensure that all aide trainees are under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Ensure that established policies and procedures are followed by all departmental personnel.
• Make daily rounds of the nursing department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
• Report findings to the Director of Nursing.
• Ensure the delivery of effective, high-quality nursing care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to adjust care plans based on changing needs.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Previous experience as a RN Supervisor preferred.
• Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Skilled Nursing with Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, or Supervisor experience.
• Active Certification as an RN in the state of CT.
• Current CPR certification.
• HP (Healthcare Provider) certification may be required.
