RN Supervisor
About the role
We're seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse who wants to lead and supervise others rather than provide continuous daily hands-on care. This role offers a balance between clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Focus on care planning and ensuring clients receive top-notch care in their homes.
- Supervise and support caregivers, implementing and monitoring individualized care plans.
- Create patient Plan of Care per Physician's orders and ensure compliance.
- Implement nursing support for individuals in a home setting.
- Review nursing documentation to ensure compliance with Physician’s orders.
- Review MARs, verbal orders, and medication profiles to match Physician’s orders.
- Follow policies and procedures according to operation, state, and regulatory standards.
- Complete supervisory visits based on compliance and regulations, including review of plan of care, caregiver competency assessment, and required documentation.
- Train caregivers and nurses as required.
- Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and other meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
- No less than 2 years of clinical experience, with at least 1 year in a related management/supervisory role.
- Certified in CPR.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of personnel, both internally and externally.
- Capable of working independently with highly confidential information.
Skills
Strong leadership, supervision, and communication skills are essential. The ability to work independently and handle confidential information is also crucial.
