The Village at Germantown is seeking an RN Supervisor to provide exceptional nursing care and clinical leadership within our senior living community.
Responsibilities
- Supervise assigned nursing staff while providing direct nursing care to residents in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care
- Coordinate and monitor resident care plans, treatments, medications, and daily nursing needs
- Identify and respond appropriately to changes in residents’ medical or behavioral conditions
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and on time
- Provide skilled nursing treatments and procedures according to physician orders and established standards of practice
- Participate in new resident admissions and ongoing health assessments
- Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life
- Make rounds with physicians and assist with resident examinations and treatments
- Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians and responsible parties as appropriate
- Monitor complex resident health conditions and determine appropriate nursing interventions
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident calls and emergency situations
- Complete incident reports and required follow-up documentation
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely resident records
- Help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, resident rights, safety standards, and Village policies and procedures
- Support staff education, orientation, and in-service training as needed
- Foster a professional, collaborative, and resident-centered environment
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee or a qualifying multistate RN license
- Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
- At least 2 years of successful experience as a Registered Nurse
- At least 2 years of experience in a long-term care setting
- Ability to effectively supervise, manage, and provide direction to nursing staff
- Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, and decision-making skills
- Ability to read and interpret medical procedures and applicable regulations
Qualifications
- Experience working with and understanding the needs of geriatric residents (highly preferred)
- Experience in Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and/or Memory Care (highly preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to stoop, bend, twist, and reach
- Ability to assist with resident mobility
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds and push up to 200 pounds
