RN – Stepdown (Travel)

An 18-week travel contract on our West Campus stepdown unit, posted directly through Cedar Ridge Health's open marketplace. The wage, the recruiter's fee, and the platform fee are all set by us and shown here in full - not folded into an agency's markup.

Pay

Weekly pay package - no hidden markup $2,837/ week $1,419 taxable wage + $1,418 tax-free stipend (GSA-capped). Clinician package $2,837. Total bill $3,183. The tax-free stipend isn't subject to income tax withholding - actual take-home on the taxable portion depends on your filing status and location.

Responsibilities

• Deliver step-down level care for patients transitioning from ICU or post-surgical recovery
• Monitor closely for early signs of deterioration and escalate per protocol
• Manage higher nurse-to-patient ratios than general med/surg
• Coordinate with hospitalists, intensivists, and rapid response teams
• Document care in Cedar Ridge's EHR from day one, no shadow charting

Requirements

• Current Nebraska RN license or active compact state license
• ACLS, BLS certification, and NIHSS required
• 1+ years of recent stepdown, ICU, or telemetry experience
• 2 references, drug test, and background check before start date
• 2-day orientation; extension possible at end of contract
