Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center is the South Metro area’s full-service medical center, combining the friendly feel of a community hospital with the skill and services of a larger facility. Specialties include stroke, chest pain, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, cancer care, orthopedic and total joint surgery, a birth center, and a breast health center.

About the Role

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you’ll provide top-notch patient care within your assigned department or unit. Working closely with clinical managers and other healthcare professionals, you’ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compassion. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to create comprehensive care plans and deliver the best outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care within your assigned department/unit.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team under the guidance of the clinical manager or designee.
  • Adhere to the Standards and Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses.
  • Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Follow established patient care standards for Legacy Health System, including patient assessment and transfer protocols.

Qualifications

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program as required by licensure.
  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is strongly preferred. RNs working toward their BSN are encouraged to apply.
  • For certain roles, a BSN is required. RNs without a BSN may be considered based on clinical experience and approval from the Chief Nursing Officer.

Experience

  • At least one year of nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program (or equivalent program).
  • Preferred: Labor & Delivery experience.

Skills & Qualities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize electronic health systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Qualifications

  • American Heart Association BLS required.
  • American Heart Association NRP required. May be hired with AHA/AAP Essential NRP but must obtain Advanced NRP within 6 weeks or completion of orientation, whichever is longer. Travel nurses may continue with Essential NRP if not performing in Charge, Neonatal Resuscitation, Baby, or NICU RN roles.
  • If recovering OB or Surgical patients, American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire.
  • STABLE within 6 months of hire.
  • Advance Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of labor training.
  • Ability to Scrub or scrub training within 6 months of hire (specific for Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital).
  • Refer to Women’s Education Plan for ongoing competencies.
  • Current applicable state RN license required.
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Pay

USD $54.37 - USD $81.21 per hour.
