RN Staff Nurse GI/Procedure - East - FT

About the Role

A registered professional nurse at Erlanger Medical Center in the GI Endoscopy Center is responsible for direct and/or indirect care of Gastroenterology patients. This role requires demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care, assessing patient data, and interpreting information to meet each patient's needs as outlined in the Endoscopy Center's policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee.
• BLS certification completed prior to starting in the unit/department and maintained thereafter.
• ACLS certification completed prior to starting in the unit/department and maintained thereafter.
• For non-Tennessee residents: Tennessee licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire.

Qualifications

Education

• Required: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.

Experience

• Required: Knowledge of general nursing principles and practice skills; organizational functions, policies, and regulations; current trends and new developments; principles and practices of nursing applicable to specialized areas.
