Key Responsibilities
- Supports physicians in meeting the medical needs of patients.
- Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and prepares them for physicians.
- Takes vital signs, records medical history/symptoms, and ensures medical chart/lab test results are available and complete.
- Performs telephone triage, patient education, handles physician and pharmacy calls, and assists with scheduling appointments or arranging hospital tests or admissions.
- Administers immunizations and minor treatments as prescribed and documents all activities in the chart.
- Cleans and stocks patient examination rooms, cleans and prepares instruments for procedures, and keeps a list of needed medical supplies.
- Completes paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x-rays, school/work notes, etc., and cleans and sterilizes equipment.
- Assists with preparing for and performing procedures as necessary.
- Reports all test results to the patient as directed by the physician.
- Performs OSHA controls as required, including assisting in performing a narcotic count.
- Responds to patient questions and concerns as a liaison between the physician and patient.
- Documents all activities in the patient's medical record.
Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN licensure.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- CPR certification.
- One year of professional nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred, but new graduates may be considered under specific circumstances.

Pay
- Base pay range: $27.00-38.50 per hour.
- Actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
- Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
